Thank you to everyone who joined us for the Great Dream Machine Breakfast! It meant so much to have our community come together to learn about The Arc, our programs, and the individuals we serve with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
A special thank you to our keynote speaker, Robert Ennis, for sharing his personal story. The audience responded with a well-deserved standing ovation. We’re also grateful to our board members, sponsors, and everyone who helped make the morning possible.
Living a life of your own choosing includes having places where you feel welcome. Through art classes, book club , and gaming group, the people we serve can spend time together and take part in their community. We’re proud of the Rockford businesses that open their doors and help make those spaces welcoming.
Medicaid Home and Community-Based Services waiver programs are another part of that picture. They help people receive support in their homes and communities, and we will continue to advocate for the people who rely on them.
