  • Responsibilities:
    • Answer incoming calls, gather information and provide resource and referral information.
    • Coach and educate families and individuals about guardianship and alternatives.
    • Conduct guardianship and estate planning workshops for families, individuals and professionals
    • Interview, assess and complete guardianship applications for eligible applicants
    • Complete legal paperwork and submit to lawyers, probate court, relatives and others deemed necessary
    • Coordinate completion of guardianship process with the probate court, participating lawyers, Guardian Ad Litem and families.
    • Assist in the facilitation of the Home-Based Program with Self-Directed Assistants
    • Participate in advocacy activities
    • Assist in managing public relations
    • Maintain alliances and partnerships with other organizations including participating in community events
    • Identify and implement smaller fundraising opportunities throughout the year to meet fundraising goals

    Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
    • Prior experience in a similar role, preferably within the non-profit sector
    • Respect for and understanding of individuals with disabilities and their rights
    • Maintaining all requirements concerning privacy and confidentiality of persons served
    • Ability to be self-sufficient in managing time and meeting deadlines
    • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as a team player
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite

    This is a direct hire, salaried role starting at $40,000/year offering a robust benefits plan, including generous time off (24 personal days, 14 paid holidays, and paid leave between Christmas and New Year.)

  • Responsibilities
    • Manage all aspects of accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, and receipts.
    • Payroll processing, including computation of wages, deductions, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
    • Coordinate grant applications, compliance, and reporting, including maintaining documentation and communicating with relevant stakeholders.
    • Identify grantors and submit grants in support of current programs or new initiatives
    • Manage budgets, accounts and reporting for Representative payee participants
    • Utilize QuickBooks to maintain accurate financial records, generate reports, and reconcile accounts.
    • Monitor cash flow, prepare financial reports, and provide insights to management for decision-making.
    • Collaborate with CPA firm and Executive Director to ensure smooth operations and compliance with financial policies and procedures.
    • Manage daily activities of reception/general office
    • Oversee the time management of the Office Assistant
    • Assist and manage new hire onboarding
    • Assist in yearly reviews and audits
    • Participate in organization management meetings including Board of Directors and Finance Committee meetings
